The month began with us making a rode trip up to Weatherford for Ryan's Father's surgery. Thankfully everything so far is going well. We enjoyed spending a few days with family. It was a nice break, but it sure was cold when we were there. It's times like that, that I'm glad I overpack ;) Ryan and I were able to get away a night or two and have dinner with some wonderful friends. It was very enjoyable to get out. While there Mason (sort of) started to crawl. His Daddy was very proud. Mom too, but that meant to me that he is becoming mobile, hince more floor cleaning for me.
Mason had his first Tractor ride this Month. Opa and Oma came to drop something off and Opa scooped him up for a ride.
We also had our first gokart ride too. I wasn't too sure how he was going to react to that one but he really enjoyed it. We drove through the back fields to my brothers house and along the way we saw the "Moo" Cows. He really gets excited when he sees the cows. Coming back Daddy had a bit of an accident. While trying to open one of the gates the bar came up and smacked him on the lip. It was busted up pretty bad. He was ok and I had a good laugh over it. Ryan took one of the hand-me-down car seats and attached it to the gokart last week so him and Mason could go help Opa out with the cows. I haven't taken a picture of it yet but I will soon. It is hilarious! Ryan said that on the way back from the fields that Mason almost fell asleep. I'm sure the vibration is soothing to him.
Mason turned 9 Months Old last week. It is hard to believe that he will be a year old in 3 Months. Oma and Opa are excited to have his party at their house. I've walked in on them discussing his party several times. At 9 Months we are a healthy 25lb. It does seem like he should be a bit heavier but I weighed him twice at the office. I don't remember how long he is but I can always go back to his chart and look. He is the 90th percentile with his height and weight, but what's new there...Ha! The Dr. gave him two thumbs up for being a handsome healthy boy. He is crawling now, it isn't a pretty crawl but he is like his Mom in that he just does things differently ;) He gets to where he wants. We have had a few slip ups where he has busted his face on the ground, but all in all he is doing great. He is now wearing 18 to 24 mon. clothing, a few 12 months, but not many. I have to constantly go through is clothes to weed out the small ones and replace them with the ones that fit. He has also outgrown his little tub so he was promoted to the "big boy" tub. He definitely loves the water. When Ryan turns the faucet on Mason perks up. He knows that it is time for a bath.
I'll try to do better about the postings in the future.
