These Shoes are Made For Walking

My Baby Boy is growing up! Just this past week he is taking steps all over the house. He isn't quite brave enough to walk completely by himself but he can do it. Now that he is walking more I took him this weekend to get some shoes because I heard that stride rite was having a sale. I didn't put two and two together until I was already at the mall, but I didn't know it was tax free weekend. So after finding that out Mason received more stuff from Mommy. Gymboree and stride rite appreciated me yesterday :)

These are his sporty shoes. I thought it was neat because they are called "Colby" and Mason has a cousin named Colby.

These aren't exactly like the ones he got but this is the closest picture I could find. He even has he bells to go on the shoelaces.

While shopping I saw too many things that I could get Kalyn's twins. We know that they are most likely identical but we are waiting for the blue or pink ribbon ;) Aunt Jessica is going to spoil those two! Can't wait. For those of you reading this say a little prayer for her please. It's greatly appreciated.

Mason has also taken to magazines. Especially Mommy's Cosmopolitan. I think he likes looking at all the pretty ladies. Well, at least they're women right!? He also likes to take his food and squish it between his fingers, which makes a mess. I try not to let it be a big deal because I know he is just exploring so after he's done I bring in the mess crew. A.K.A. Cooper! He does such a great job cleaning up after Mason. Saves on paper-towels.

We also have a jabber mouth. I figure once Mason can say complete sentences I'll put him and his cousin Travis in a room and they can go at it. But along with the jabbering comes the screams of frustration. And along with the screams comes the hitting. I'm trying to correct it early but there is only so much you can do with a 14 month old.

Now I'm trying not to make this blog all about Mason, but it's kinda hard since he takes up 90% of our time/energy. Ryan has been busy this week getting ready for inventory. I don't know why they chose to have it the weekend before schools starts as well as tax free weekend but I guess that is just when it falls. Luckily they took pity on him this year and gave him a different schedule which means he won't have to sleep in the truck in the parking lot this year! Anyways it will be a long weekend for him. As for me I'm still trucking along at the Pediatricians office. Hoping that this school rush will die down soon, but then flu season is right around the corner and I'm scheduled for shots every Wednesday, which I really don't mind because there won't be a DR. there that night. Oh, and to all you parents out there, don't procrastinate on getting your kiddos to the Dr. I can't tell you how many parents have called last minute for physicals when they've known all summer that they needed one. Geez don't get me started so I think I'll just end here.

God is good and He proves that to me everyday!

  1. I love Mason's little shoes! Soon they'll have to be running shoes! lol. :)
And the twins look forward to you spoiling them! ;) And thanks for the prayers! Always much appreciated.
When and what kind of flu shot do I need? I figure the drs will know, but I always like being armed with info before I go in.
